I often read footnotes before anything else. Sitting at the bottom of the page, footnotes support the paragraphs above, offering clarity and sometimes surprising insights.

My services seek to do the same. For more than 3 decades, I’ve supported my clients in their writing and editing needs — from offering feedback on novels, memoirs and academic dissertations to formatting and fact-checking reports and grant proposals.

I am an experienced researcher specializing in qualitative methods. My interview and focus group facilitation skills have informed projects investigating community health issues, local food security, affordable housing, provision of community green space, and informal recycling.

I’ve come a long way since my first tutoring gig at the age of 12 — paid in chocolate chip cookies.

Today, with more than 2 decades of experience teaching high school and university students, I design innovative activities and materials adaptable to a variety of learners, in English, French, and Spanish.

My teaching experience includes graduate research methods, Spanish literature, French Immersion (littérature, composition, sciences humaines), Social Justice, Journalism, and writing for non-academic audiences.

At the high school level, I’ve designed AP French and AP Spanish programs, and co-designed a 5-year French immersion program.
